Here are a few of the thousands of
EdisonLearning employees and partners who are working together to
help every student achieve. Come back from time to time to
meet more of the people who power our success.

Ruth Silberstein
Principal
Ruth Silberstein, principal of Palolo Elementary School, was
awarded the National Distinguished Principal of the Year for
Hawai‛i in 2008. Ruth has worked with EdisonLearning in Hawai‛i
since the 2005-06 school year, recording substantial gains in
student achievement and successfully leading the school our of
restructuring. In a feature profile of her in the Honolulu
Advertiser, it was said, “As much as educating children,
Silberstein sees her job as educating parents, many of them
immigrants from Pacific islands who may come from a culture that
views education differently than the Western culture they've
joined. Rapping on doors to talk to parents, arriving at a home to
pick up a child and drive him to school, making a home visit to
complete a child's Individual Education Plan for special-ed classes
– Silberstein has done it all.”
