What we are looking for in our Leaders and Teachers
Leaders:
We seek principals who have experience with diversity, have drive and vision, and possess superior communication skills, a proven record of academic excellence and an unwavering commitment to accepting only the best from our students. Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree in Education; five years of successful teaching; three years as a building administrator; experience in data-based decision making; a solid background in curriculum and instruction; excellent organizational, planning and implementation skills; as well as the ability to work productively and positively with staff, students, and parents.
Teachers:
We’re looking for success in your own academic pursuits, including achievement in college, teaching certification or enrollment in a certification program, and content-area proficiency. We want achievement-driven teachers with the ability to promote learning and responsibility, encourage creativity, and engage students in a positive way. We’ll want to know more about how you manage your classroom, engage students, and relate with parents, administration, and colleagues. Whenever possible, we ask our top candidates to teach a demonstration lesson at the school.
