Resources for principals

EdisonLearning is committed to its mission of providing a great education by recruiting, hiring, training, and supporting the best instructional leaders. EdisonLearning principals are supported in every stage of their careers as they lead their schools to superior academic achievement.

EdisonLearning principals relentlessly pursue an ambitious school vision of high academic achievement and strong character development for all students through the execution of five leadership roles:

  • Instructional Leader
  • Organizational Leader
  • Culture Builder
  • Site Manager
  • EdisonLearning Executive

The EdisonLearning Leadership Rubric is intended first and foremost as a professional development tool, to enable principals to place themselves on the continua of the various leadership performance levels and to work with their supervisors to grow in the professional execution of their responsibilities.

EdisonLearning principals are assisted in their staff development through ongoing professional development that is grounded in the leadership rubric. EdisonLearning principals also have extensive opportunities for interaction with their peers; principals gather annually at our national EdisonLearning Leadership Development Academies.
