Students from J.E.B. Stuart Elementary School, which is part of EdisonLearning’s Petersburg Alliance in Virginia, were selected to attend an event with President Barack Obama on March 9 at Rolls-Royce’s Crosspointe campus in Petersburg.
During the event, President Obama announced plans to build a network of advanced manufacturing think tanks across the country, touting the importance of pursuing an education and Rolls-Royce's partnership with Virginia colleges and universities.
J.E.B. Stuart Elementary School Principal Korri Reddick and students were honored to have the opportunity to see and hear the President. J.E.B. Stuart Elementary School and A.P. Hill Elementary School in Petersburg have been EdisonLearning partnership schools since 2011.
